Circa 1820 antique Empire mahogany two-piece butler's secretary desk with broken arch pediment and center finial, double wavy glass doors with fretwork, and double adjustable interior shelves. Lower desk has a drop-front and pull out writing surface revealing four small drawers and three cubbyholes. There are two lower full-width drawers with matchbook veneer drawer fronts. The angular stiles posess carved applied ornamentation over bracket feet. All three drawers have Empire trim on the front. Key is present. Some surface wear and scratches consistent with age and use.
