Antique German-made percussion musket rifle, with the right side lock stamped Ferd Geschkat Success - Danzig, in an unknown caliber. The barrel is 41" long, with a 56.5" overall length, and a large brass cap on the forend of the stock and barrel. The top of the butt plate is stamped VIII over 48, and there is a cartouche marked FG in a circle on the top rear of the barrel. No ramrod is include. The action functions correctly with two positions. Condition is considered fair, with some blemishes at the end of the barrel consistent with age. There are four holes drilled through the stock, indicating that one time something was attached there. Since the two rifled are percussion and exempt from the background check, they may be picked up from the home. Location: Upstairs Bedroom
