Walnut finish cedar chest by Roos Chests, Ed Roos Company of Forest Park, featuring applied carved accenting of blossoms and acanthus leaves, alongside incised lines and burl veneer ovals. The chest shows carved ball front legs in a jacobean style, over angular lower legs and stretcher. The front has an escutcheon (no key is present), and opens to reveal a tag and stamp on the inner lid. The applied accenting shows some missing chipped sections. Surface finish shows some discoloration consistent with regular use. Size:3'9"w x 19"d x 25.5"h
