This is a very well done antique portrait of stately gentleman in a very old, ornate, wooden frame. The identity of the gentleman is unknown. The family story is that they originally had the frame and loved it but it sat unused until they found the right art to go in the frame. The portrait is of no relation to the family but the family referred to him as Uncle Charlie. The painting has web lines throughout indicative of very old paintings. There are 2 small places (see photos) that show repair to damaged. Could the damage have been a result of bullet holes? Frame size is shown. Size: 37"h x 32.5"w x 4"d Location: Living Room
