1938 Oil on Canvas Painting by Vernon Herbert Coleman (1898-1978, American artist from Cape Cod area). Artist signed in lower right hand corner with local and date. The painting is of waves crashing the beach with a 3 masted sailing ship in the background. Framed in a wooden, gold toned frame. It was purchased by the family in 1938 and comes with a typed, personal letter dated October 29, 1938, signed by the artist. Framed size shown. Size: 42"w x 32"h Location: Living Room
