Antique Colt Model 1849 pocket revolver, percussion, .31 caliber, 6 shot, 5" barrel, brass trim and backstrap. Most of the original blueing is now brown patina and the engraving on the cylinder is faint, and grips have no chips or cracks. SN indicates it was made in 1864. Overall this is a nice Civil War era gun with good honest wear and appearance. SN: 251024. All SN match. (This is the model that Outlaw Josie Wales carried under his vest and served as his backup revolver). Note: This gun is exempt from the FFL transfer laws and may be inspected at Wardlow Auctions office.
