2 volume set of "Rise and Fall of the Confederate Government" written by Jefferson Davis in 1881. The books are leather bound with edge painting. Both volumes have been restored somewhat but still appear original to the untrained eye. The leather spine of Vol. 1 shows more deterioration than Vol. 2. Both have had a paper label of an earlier owner affixed many years ago. Each volume is approximately 6.5"w x 9.25" tall.
