Titled Plan of an African Ship’s Lower Deck with Negroes in the Proportion of Only One to a Ton folded engraved plate of a slave ship's hold. This anti-slavery graphic was published in support of the abolistionist movement.  Frame is paper sealed across back, leaving us unable to verify if this piece was cut-to-size- to fit the frame. Some discoloration, fold marks, some light foxing.  Size: frame 14.5"w x 6"h
