Category: Pocket Watches

Lovely example of an early English pocket watch. Hallmarks on silver casings date this pocket watch to 1774. Gilded movement marked "R. Ovingham London" with S/N 25015. White enameled dial and crystal do not have any cracks. Sterling silver case has a few dings. We do not have a key to properly test, although we were able to get it to run for a short period of time. Because of its age, we would recommend having it serviced. Operating functions and time keeping accuracy not guaranteed. Only other example we could find of this watchmaker is exhibited at the Pocket Watch Museum website in the link below: http://www.pocketwatchmuseum.com/watch_display.php?index=49&action=display Size in case: 2"dia
