The Plato clock displays the time by what the distributor called numbered "plates" that are made of celluloid. The hours digits appear stacked above the minutes with the plates flipping like pages of a book to reveal the advancing time. This figural design is claimed to be the rarest of all their designs because smaller plates had to be made from all other Plato clocks. Has gilded feautres and comes with glass dome. We had a key of our own to test it out and it winds and appears to run properly. Time keeping accuracy not guaranteed. Key not included. Size: 6"h
