Louisville Palace massive, highly carved solid oak Italian antique hall tree with cornice pediment over carved panel with center man's profile flanked by swirled carvings bordered by stylized rosettes. Rectangular beveled center mirror flanked by single side panel with man's profile with foliate and swirled accenting. The stiles are carved leaf the entire height with six solid brass coat or hat hooks. There is a shelf supported by double winged griffins. There are two demi-lune rails for holding umbrellas complete with metal drip pans. The bottom shelf can be used for daily storage showing a beveled carved edge. Evidence that this beautiful hall tree shows water and sun fading conditions. One drip pan is worn through and taped back. The history of this hall tree includes being from the Louisville Palace.
